The Kinetic
Brand Identity System
Expanding Heritage Brand Materials into Scalable Motion Systems for an Ultra-Luxury Hospitality Icon
Role: Creative Director / Systems Architect
Project Type: Independent Brand Architecture & Kinetic Prototyping
The Portfolio Scope:
Architected a platform-agnostic visual footprint for scaling across large-format lobby art installations, interactive concierge console panels, and native mobile guest touchpoints for an ultra-luxury flagship destination.
The System Mandate:
Formulated custom mathematical transition curves, programmatic canvas grid-partitioning matrices, and strict layout container boundaries to translate legacy print guidelines into a responsive, video-first motion language.
The Operational Impact:
Engineered modular, automated motion design templates built from unorganized raw media archives, reducing internal localized content production loops by an estimated 40% while eliminating asset variance across properties.
STRATEGIC OVERVIEW
Ultra-luxury hotel storytelling requires an immense level of spatial restraint. While legacy hospitality guidelines are brilliant at defining static grid systems, print margins, and paper stocks, they often fail to govern how a brand behaves when it transitions onto digital displays, lobby video walls, and experiential media. Utilizing Espacio as the foundation for an independent brand exploration, I engineered a comprehensive kinetic design system that bridged this gap. The system established pixel-perfect typographic motion curves and layout rules that unified the property's primary identity. This integrated framework illustrates how to scale an identity seamlessly from physical lobby art installations to personal mobile guest interfaces, ensuring absolute brand continuity across an omnichannel ecosystem.

Identity Foundation: The Animated Wordmark
The Core Kinetic Design Tokens

Primary Editorial Header
Engineered with custom weighted deceleration curves and linear opacity transitions, this token governs primary brand announcements with print-inspired spatial mechanics.

Functional List Disclosure
Built as an ultra-responsive alpha-mask disclosure list, this token utilizes snapping motion curves and vector glyph offsets to cascade complex property data without visual layout distortion.

Asymmetrical Canvas Matrix
A programmatic canvas-splitting template designed to render dynamic, multi-window lookbook matrices that unify varying aspect ratios within a single display grid.

Persistent Location Marker
A hard-edged, corner-pinned asset designed with unyielding linear entry paths to act as a permanent, non-intrusive metadata watermark across all public spatial channels.

Human Identifier
A stacked, contrasting typographical hierarchy locked to absolute outer canvas borders to ground digital media behind permanent architectural framing rules.
IN-SITU ENVIRONMENTAL COMPOSITES
Real-world property executions demonstrating the platform-agnostic scale of the unified identity system across public physical real estate and personal digital touchpoints.
The Evening Lounge Exterior
The Tasting Room Series – F&B Destination SignagE
System Application:
Restaurant Destination Marketing
Design Narrative:
The deep-toned, macro color grading of the culinary plating sequences seamlessly balances with the glowing, warm spherical pendant lights reflecting off the lounge window glass. This execution proves that the core motion tokens can transform a physical building facade into an atmospheric, high-taste digital showcase that drives restaurant booking prestige.

The Residential Credenza Corridor
The Menu Architecture Series – Functional Programming
System Application:
Omnichannel Responsive Scaling
Design Narrative:
By displaying the physical corridor signage side-by-side with a native mobile device interface, this component illustrates a platform-agnostic framework. The exact same functional menu token that cascades operational metadata elegantly across a public travertine space scales down to fit a guest’s smartphone screen—satisfying the operational necessity for an integrated, multi-departmental resort ecosystem.

The Historic Elevator Bank
The Flagship Vignettes Series – Ambient Spatial Art Installation
System Application:
Ambient Spatial Art & Architectural Identity
Design Narrative:
This installation treated the digital display screen as an active architectural material rather than an advertising panel. By leaving the center of the frame completely open and utilizing the layout grid to crop rhythmic, slow-moving crops of property textures (stone, horizon lines, fine linens), the video set an unhurried mood of exclusive luxury. It fulfilled a core brand mandate: creating digital art installations that feel deeply rooted in the physical texture of the space.
